New York Times Exposes: U.S. Military Personnel Flee Bases, Hide in Hotels and Skyscrapers Amid Fears

The New York Times has released a major report revealing that U.S. military personnel, overwhelmed by fear, have abandoned their bases and are now hiding in hotels and office buildings across the region.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The New York Times reported, citing U.S. military and political officials, “In retaliation for the war waged by the United States and Israel, Iran launched a missile barrage against U.S. military bases throughout the Middle East, forcing many American troops to relocate to hotels and government buildings across the region.”

According to U.S. military officials, nearly 40,000 U.S. personnel were present in the region at the start of the conflict, with U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) relocating tens of thousands of them to other locations.

Some of these forces have even been moved to Europe. However, military officials state that a large number of these personnel remain in the Middle East, though they are no longer stationed at their original bases.
